Well here's the answer, we bought these burnished solid fuel quality front bars and ash pan covers for restoring our clients fireplaces, as these are an unusual size, they fit a multitude of fires, especially 16 inch tiled inserts, and also tiled slabs with milner backs, but they need to be positioned as needed, drilled and bolted or hooked, as this is not possible for everyones capabilities, we came up with this idea, we ground down the ash pan cover a little bit and created a slight lean backwards, then the two parts were professionally welded together.
So now, these are freestanding bars and ash pan covers, that will fit masses of inserts, they work fine on their own or could be bolted or hooked for added security.
As we have already said these front frets are burnished, but they have been stored for some time and the burnishing has some surface rust, so the Polished areas will need polishing, but as burnished fireplace parts aren't recommended for solid fuel fires, it is best if you quickly key them up with sandpaper and spray them with heat proof paint.
We can also sell these as the original two separate items but unfortunately, these front Bars are in limited numbers and cannot be replaced.
If needed, we can also supply a fireplace grate that really works well with these bars,
also high temperature paint and fireplace grate polish.
We also supply woodburner glass and all manner of fireplace restoration products.
